Widows in Christ Foundation was first founded to provide succor to women who have lost their husbands, and hence being rendered destitute. Our work has since spread to include women living in privation, both widowed and otherwise, and young girls who are still struggling to navigate a world that does not offer them so many opportunities. In general, we hope to build a community that is safer and more livable, and we do this by reaching out to all members of marginalized and displaced groups.

In a society where they are practically segregated, where living is such a burden, not just as women but also as widows, it is not uncommon that these women often go around starving. As a part of our initiative, we give vulnerable women food items to help their homes. Food stuff, like potatoes and rice and beans, are routinely distributed to palliate their difficult situations.
It is imperative that a woman knows her place in the society, know that she is not a second-class citizen, but an important part of the fabric of the community. We help to instill ideas and values that remind women of their rights, and how they can go about defending themselves, if need be.
We believe we are all one under Christ Jesus, and as such, we try to remind our women that, regardless of their difficult circumstances, God is present, even in times of need and distress
